**15 Large White Boards:**** x $189.99 ea. = $2,849.85**

With multiple white boards, we can have many students (most, if not all) work through math at the same time while the teacher stands in the middle of room, sees student misconceptions immediately and provides feedback to the students in real-time.

- We can display a variety of students’ solution strategies at once and make connections between the different strategies, enriching math conversations.

- We can intentionally leave up some examples, student work, proofs, etc. for future conversations, without losing the ability to use whiteboards as an instructional tool.

- In Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus, examples and proofs are getting longer. We need the multiple white boards in order to have all of the mathematics up at once.

We have to be careful about how we use our limited white board space. For example, we cannot use much space for daily learning objectives, today’s date, daily agendas, etc. If we need white board space for classroom notes, we cannot use the projector and the write-over feature. We can only have one or two students put their work on the board at a time (rather than 3, 4, or 5 students), which limits the conversations we can have about student work.

30 Graphing Calculators (1 Class Set): **TI-84 Plus EZ Calculators; Yellow, with “School Property” inscribed on faceplate.

These calculators are powerful problem-solving tools with features for storing, graphing, and analyzing functions, useful for learning advanced math concepts in Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. Students use these calculators on standardized tests, such as the ACT, SAT, and PARCC assessments, so students should be comfortable working with the calculators. We require students to provide their own computers, so we do not ask them to also purchase these calculators.

We are currently sharing the calculators we already have between classrooms and teachers, which means we have to be mindful about when we use the calculators and when we offer tests. We do not always have enough for each student to work with their own calculator, so students have to share. We barely had enough calculators for the recent standardized tests, and our population is growing.
